Quietcreek Farm's Sales Policy

Contacting us:

If you have our phone number and try to call us, we may not answer phones unless your number is programmed in our phone, or we could be tied up and not be able to answer at that time, please leave a message explaining what you are needing, and we will call back as soon as possible. We do prefer text over calls for saving time.

If you E-mail us, please fill in the subject line – do not leave blank. Explain what you are looking for, if it is for show, breeding or pet, if there is a color preference or if you like a male or female. If you found something on our website that you are interested in, please put the rabbit's ear number in subject line. NOTE: Website is not kept up to date but we may have something available that similar to what is shown on website. Please include your location (or area) in your email too, it may be possible that I know someone closer to you if we determine we are too far apart.

I will respond to all genuine phone calls or emails, but things do get busy at times so feel free to try again if you do not hear back from us after about 24 hours, but very seldom does it take that long for us to respond. But life does get busy, and we can forget too. If we do respond and there is no further response from you, we will assume you are no longer interested, and the rabbit then is available to the first person that comes up.

Pricing of our rabbits:

We price our rabbits according to what we like; this is our opinion from our experience and our opinion only. The higher the price does not mean it is a grand champion rabbit, this only means that we would not mind keeping it for our breeding program or to put on the show table.  Prices can vary by age, color, quality, and availability.

Quietcreek Farm Identification: (Quietcreek is ONE word)

All rabbits sold are to keep the ear number assigned. If the rabbit does not have a name after “Quietcreek” on the pedigree you are free to name it what you want as long as it is still named “Quietcreek's ….....”. The “Quietcreek” prefix should ALWAYS stay on pedigree. If you name the rabbit and let us know we will add it to our records. The ear number should never be changed, if rabbit is not tattooed when it leaves, and you tattoo later it should be tattooed with ear number on pedigree. When you add the rabbit to your program please keep “Quietcreek” (one word) in name if it has it on the pedigree.

Registrations:

(This will not apply to pet rabbits) If your rabbit from us is for show or breeding, it may be eligible to be registered, if it is not already. Please feel free to contact us and we can help you determine if it is eligible and guide you to make sure papers are filled our correctly. On registration “Original owner/breeder” should be filled out as follows: Cindi and Brian Hinton and our address (On pedigree) or contact us. Please send us registration number so we can add it to our records.

Waiting list:

Everything we have for sale is on a first come first serve basis.  We do keep a waiting list and will attempt to contact you when something comes available. If you do not respond then it goes up for whoever comes first unless a deposit has been made, but even if deposit or full payment has been made, continued failed attempts to reach you will result in the animal being put back up for sale.

The easiest way to find out what we have for sale is to check with us periodically by email; Quietcreek@yahoo.com

Holding Terms:

We will hold rabbit only with full payment. We accept Pay-Pal or Cash. A 5% fee is added to any payment other than cash or Pay-Pal. Prior arrangements must be made for checks. The only way a refund is issued is if we terminate sale or rabbit dies while still in our care.

We will hold a rabbit until a show we plan to attend, if it is a rabbit that several are interested in, first one to pay for the rabbit is the one rabbit is held for. At the show, the rabbit will be held but if customer is a no show and no contact made before 10 am the morning of show rabbit will go back up for sale and payment is forfeited.  Prior arrangements need to be made for customer to arrive at the beginning of show. We do not want to wait until end of show when other prospective customers have gone.

Young rabbits:

Everyone wants a tiny cute little baby; very seldom do we sell rabbit under about 12-14 weeks old. It is very hard to tell how they will develop, and we like them to be stable when they leave, reducing the chance of illness due to stress. We hold on to them until we can determine if they will be show, breeding or pet quality. There is no guarantee how one will develop.

Pet Quality:

Pet quality is a rabbit we do not feel is show worthy. Some do have some good breeding qualities, but we would not show it and do not want it shown by others. Pet quality rabbits will not be sold with a pedigree.

Transportation:

There are many ways to get a rabbit transported, including cross country. We will help make any arrangements if needed but buyer is responsible for any additional cost of transportation and payment to us must be completed before we release any rabbit to a transporter (if a 3rd party is involved). We will not make transporter handle money or pedigrees. If we are meeting on the way to our destination, or meeting at a show we plan to attend there is no additional charge.

Our Promise:

We will do our best to match up the best rabbit for your needs, whether it is for a pet, breeding or show. When we determine what you are looking for, we will go over rabbit with you and tell you, in our opinion, what the good and bad points are, AGAIN that will be our opinion from our experience.

All sales are final, WE DO NOT REFUND MONEY, we promise to make sure the rabbit is healthy when it leaves our care. We are not responsible for any rabbit after it leaves our care, but if something does happen, we would like to know, and each case will be handled on an individual basis.

Feel free to contact with any questions you may have. Even if you are looking for a breed that we do not raise we will try to help you locate what you are looking from reputable breeder.

Thank you

Brian & Cindi Hinton
